This document provides a public overview of the AT50 Index methodology as of version 4.0, updated February 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the AT50 Index, a company must:
- Be headquartered or primarily operating in Africa
- Demonstrate verified revenue generation
- Meet minimum governance standards as defined by the Governance Council
- Have publicly accessible or verifiable financial data

Review Cadence
The index undergoes a full constituent review on a quarterly basis. Ad hoc reviews may be triggered by material corporate events such as acquisitions, IPOs, or governance failures.
Data Validation
All constituent data is validated through a combination of self-reported submissions, third-party verification, and Governance Council review. Disputed data points are escalated to the full council for resolution.
